Have you ever anticipated going to a social gathering where you know the fun and buffalo wings will be plentiful but you wonder what you can eat besides the veggie and fruit tray? Don’t despair. Bring your homemade Buffalo Tofu Wings to the party and watch the guests chow down.
The recipe is simple to make and your choice to fry or bake. Switch up from the traditionally used ranch dressing and make the vegan garlic dill dip. Oh and make sure to get near the front of the line, or you will miss out!
16oz extra firm tofu drained and pressed
2-1/2 tablespoons Tamari (gluten-free soy sauce)
¼ teaspoon cumin
½ teaspoon Multi purpose seasoning(Trader Joe’s Umami)
pinch of cayenne(optional)
¼ teaspoon smoked paprika
¼ cup unsweetened nut milk
1/2 cup cornstarch or arrowroot
2 tablespoons grapeseed or avocado oil
Chopped fresh cilantro or parsley for garnish (optional)
6 tablespoons red cayenne pepper hot sauce
3 tablespoons vegan butter
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 tsp cumin
pinch of sea salt
This tasty dip can also be used as a spread for sandwiches or salad dressing.
8 oz soft/silken tofu
3 T fresh lemon juice
¼ teaspoon sea salt or 1 teaspoon Bragg’s Amino liquid
¼ cup olive oil
1 clove minced garlic or ½ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon dried dill or 2 sprigs fresh dill
Pinch of cayenne
1 teaspoon honey (optional)
Combine all ingredients in a blender and puree until a smooth consistency is obtained. Season to taste. You can substitute your favorite herbs for the dill. For a Creamy Italian dressing, fresh basil and oregano or dried Italian seasoning.
